Drizly: Whenever You Need It
Drizly, the former alcohol branch of Uber Eats, was marketed as a service to deliver alcohol when you forgot it. So in these ads, the idea was to position the brand as one to save you when you are in a tight spot. Whether it’s to impress your date or to keep cooking, Drizly is there when you need it.

Open on an outdoor barbecue, crowded with people. There is a guy cooking burgers, Eric, in a kitschy apron. A man, Byron, walks up to Eric with a beer in hand.
BYRON: Hey, man this beer cooler is getting low.
Eric has a look of fear on his face, as the Weather Reporter walks into the scene.
WEATHER REPORTER: I'm here at Eric's barbecue where it there is a 100% chance of Drizly. He underestimated how much his friends would drink. It won’t be long until there is Drizly.
Eric looks worriedly at the beers in his friend’s hands and then at the very low beer cooler. Eric pulls out his phone.
WEATHER REPORTER: Any moment now.
Eric completes his order on the Drizly app and shows his friend the order complete screen.
ERIC: Don’t worry. I got Drizly.
WEATHER REPORTER: Live from Eric’s barbecue, Drizly is on its way.
Eric goes back to grilling. The Weather Reporter is right beside him.
WEATHER REPORTER: Can I get one of those?
ENDCARD: Drizly: Whenever you need it.

Two women Brenda and Sonya are on a date, food half-eaten, and drinking a bottle of red wine.
BRENDA: Let’s go back to yours. We can have some more wine!
Sonya looks at her red wine and nods nervously.
SONYA: [Nervously] Yeah… No problem!
The Weather Reporter, who was pretending to be a waiter behind them, walks in front of their table and stands off-center.
WEATHER REPORTER: This date has a 100% chance of Drizly. Sonya doesn’t have red wine at home. She’s a hard liquor person.
Sonya pulls out her phone from under the table.
WEATHER REPORTER: So she’s ordering for Drizly. To impress her date.
Sonya’s phone shows an order complete screen.
WEATHER REPORTER: And the Drizly is moving in. This date is saved.
Sonya puts her phone away and turns to Brenda. She puts her hand on the table.
SONYA: So, tell me about your time abroad again.
The two go on with their date. The Weather Reporter stands there and smirks.
WEATHER REPORTER: These two have chemistry.

Open on Chad in his apartment kitchen. In front of him are ingredients for scallops in lemon sauce. He looks at a recipe on his computer.
He pauses when he sees the recipe calls for white wine.
CHAD: Ah. I don’t have wine.
The Weather Reporter walks in from the fridge behind Chad and walks to center stage.
WEATHER REPORTER: This recipe has a 100% chance of Drizly. He forgot an essential ingredient to the flavors of this dish.
Chad takes out his phone and pulls open Drizly.
WEATHER REPORTER: There’s no shame in forgetting an ingredient. But there is shame in acting like you can make the dish correctly without it.
On his phone, Chad ordered two white wines.
WEATHER REPORTER: And the Drizly is moving in. One wine for cooking, and one for drinking while cooking. Now that’s smart.
Chad starts chopping his onion behind the Weather Reporter and immediately starts crying.
WEATHER REPORTER: I didn’t predict that.
ENDCARD: Drizly: Whenever you need it.
